All metaphysical theories, of all kinds, idealistic or materialistic, have one thing in common: the attributing of infinity and eternity to the Substratum, to the Fundamental Truth they admit. Thus all materialism makes matter infinite (increated) uncreated.

By this is shown then that all systems of metaphysics agree in giving to the Cause or Origin or Being fundamental in their system the characteristic of infinity and eternity.

But why is this?
