ZENO
Born at Elea, a man of extreme heroisme and strength of character. He was very eloquent, says Diogenes Laertius, left us works full of sense and erudition, and distinguished himself not less in politics than in philosophy. Having this idea of his character, we can more seriously examine his philosophy than if we preserved the common idea of him. «Zeno pretends», says Aristotle, «that movement does not exist, because the mobile passes by (or through) the middle before it gets to the end».
