By the theologic conception, God, being the infinite of Being,
By the theologic conception, God, being the infinite of Being, is also the infinite of all its attributes. But the theologians have forgotten to examine the principles they set forth. Let us take Being and one attribute, for instance, Good. Now, in this relation, and according to the theories mentioned, God is infinite Being and also infinite Good. Now what is infinite good? Let us take a series with its infinite and with its zero. (0 ... 1, 2, 3, 4 ... ¥).
What is the nature of this infinite? It is the possibility of all numbers.
Being the possibility of all numbers, the infinite is itself not a number. We cannot say of it, unless it be in a manner somewhat anthropomorphic, that it is the greatest conceivable number. (Here lies all anthropomorphism). [...]
But there is more. The infinite, besides being the possible, is its (infinite) realization. But an infinite realization is the possibility itself.
It may be taken as:
1) The possibility of all numbers.
2) The supposed limit of numbers, that is to say, our manner of expressing the fact that they have no limit.
