Fernando Pessoa

Before Nature then has one duty, before Good another.

Before Nature then has one duty, before Good another. Before Nature then must develop thy own personality and do war against other men. Before Good thou must sacrifice thyself.

How can good be natural or come from nature when it bids us go against nature? The law of nature is indifferent to good or evil.

Difference between space (e.g.) and good. Space universal but good particular.

«Le penseur éternel», when ideas succeed one another.

Nothing can die for everything is good. We are immortal by this. Otherwise (miserable beings) we have no immortality.
